The much-liked Sarasota restaurant and bar State Street Eating House + Cocktails recently hired a new executive chef: Michelle Wolforth. Wolforth, a Boston native, has worked at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston, the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago and Soho House in New York City. Most recently, Wolforth served as the executive catering chef of Morton’s Gourmet Market and executive chef of Blasé Bistro. Wolforth plans to implement a new program to purchase whole Gulf seafood and break it down at the restaurant, in addition to a number of other changes.
