Fifth Annual Sustainable Seafood Dinner

Learn about sustainable seafood with renowned chefs at Louies Modern in the fifth-annual Sustainable Seafood Dinner this Sunday, August 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets include five chefs’ stations during cocktail hour, a six-course seated dinner, local craft beer, wine and a complementary Tervis tumbler. Siesta Key Rum Tour

August 4

Drum Circle Distilling will be hosting a free tour explaining its rum-making process on Saturday, August 4, from 1-2 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. Samples of Gold, Spiced Silver and Toasted Coconut rums will be available after the tour. Must be 21 to try samples; dogs are welcome.

Baker & Wife Pizza Workshops

Join executive chef Isaac Correa for a family-style dinner and learn how to craft the perfect pizza with his special recipes, techniques and tricks. This interactive class will show guests how to sauce and top their pizza before cooking it in a wood-fired oven. After dinner, all attendees will receive recipes and surprise gifts. The class limit is 12 participants and it takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $55 per person and reservations can be made by calling (941) 960-1765.

Venice MainStreet Inc.'s “Barstool Open”

August 25

Venice MainStreet is hosting a “Barstool Open" on August 25 from 12 to 5 p.m. Teams of four will play putt-putt golf through nine holes located in various businesses throughout Venice and Miami avenues. Participants can check in early on August 24 between 4 and 7 p.m. at Daiquiri Deck to receive their packets, or check in August 25 at the Centennial Park Gazebo between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. $20 per person. 

New Summer Menu at Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen

Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen located inside Waterline Marina Resort & Beach Club on Anna Maria Island recently debuted new menu offerings; the restaurant is open seven days a week with weekend pool access and live entertainment from 12 to 4 p.m. (pool access and live entertainment is only available to those who purchase an entrée at the restaurant). National Oyster Day at Siesta Key Oyster Bar

August 5
