Cafe in the Park is the location for a new series of weekly pop-up seafood dinners hosted by chef Darwin Santa Maria and brewmaster Tom Harris.

Santa Maria and Harris' new venture, called CeviChela Project, aims to showcase the pair's various experiments with craft beer and fish preparations like ceviche, tiraditos and crudo. At this past Saturday's dinner, they also debuted a ceviche-inspired Leche de Tigre beer--an IPA with notes of citrus, cilantro, ginger and aji limo pepper.

The goal, they say, is to bring together people, music, craft beer and restaurant-quality ingredients for a communal, one-of-a-kind experience.

CeviChela dinners will take place every Saturday at 7 p.m. at Cafe in the Park in Payne Park; tickets are $63 and reservations are required. For more information, call (941) 361-3032.
