In Love with Shakespeare

If the words of the Bard of Stratford-on-Avon stir your romantic feelings, this outdoor show at The Bazaar at Apricot & Lime, presented by The Players Centre of Performing Arts, is just the ticket. The Happy Deception (L’inganno felice)

Love in Revue

A half dozen of the Manatee Performing Arts Center’s most stalwart stars sing some of their favorite Hollywood and Broadway romantic tunes backed by a multimedia presentation. Jim Brickman: “Share the Love Live!”

Brickman fans can settle in at home for a virtual concert including tunes like “Love of My Life,” “Destiny,” “Angel Eyes” and “Valentine.” 9 p.m. Feb. 12, 7 and 10 p.m. Feb. 13 and 14, through Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. Tickets $50, and a portion of that benefits theaters around the country.

“A Romantic Night In” with Dave Koz and Brian McKnight

Roy Lichtenstein: Monet’s Garden Goes Pop!

The Valentine’s day weekend might be the perfect time to take in this new exhibit at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, which opens Feb. 13. The Pop artist’s works paying his own kind of tribute to Impressionist Claude Monet’s famous gardens are on display, along with some very special elements cooked up by Selby’s horticultural team.
