The Center for Architecture Sarasota continues its October Architecture Month on Thursday evening, Oct. 27, with a lecture on public architecture by distinguished architect Marlon Blackwell. Blackwell’s Fayetteville, Arkansas-based firm won the 2016 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in Architecture and was named the 2016 Best Architectural Design Firm in the U.S. by Architecture Magazine. And on Saturday morning, Oct. 29, CFAS will present a historical walking tour of the “Citrus” streets around downtown Sarasota, led by historian (and frequent Sarasota Magazine contributor) John McCarthy. Register for both events at cfasrq.org.
