Where to Get Sandbags in Sarasota County and Manatee County

Ahead of Tropical Cyclone Nine—which is forecast to intensify into Hurricane Helene later this week with potential landfall in the Panhandle as a category 3 or 4 storm—Sarasota and Manatee counties are opening sandbags locations to the public to prepare for the storm.
Sarasota County
Self-service sandbags will be available for Sarasota County residents from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the following locations, with a limit of 10 sandbags per vehicle. Residents should plan to bring their own shovels.
