Casey Key Fish House

There’s always a party going on at this tiki bar, where 1 percenters, boaters parked at the docks and beach bums share the bliss. Wander down to the little sand beach for live music on the weekends.

The Kokonut Hut at Gulf Drive Café

Just a few years old, this expansive Gulf-front structure on the white sands of Anna Maria offers high-tops just feet from the beach. Nightly entertainment, and you can bring your pooch, too.

Lido Beach Tiki Bar at the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club

Take the public beach access hiding just south of the Ritz-Carlton Beach Club to this historic little spot. It’s now run by the Ritz, but it hasn’t lost its barefoot charm—and it’s gained excellent bar food. Open noon until sunset.

O’Leary’s Tiki Bar and Grill

Downtown Sarasota and still a world away, O’Leary’s serves good drinks, acceptable food and live music, but the shell-lined shore and the tranquil Sarasota Bay are the stars. Popular with visitors, locals (and their dogs), boaters from the adjacent marina and downtown workers who can walk from the office. 5 Bayfront Drive, Sarasota, (941) 953-7505, olearystikibar.com

Sharky’s on the Pier

At the foot of the big, beautiful Venice City Pier, Sharky’s tiki bar serves up a rainbow selection of frozen concoctions or whatever else you’d like to drink. If you’re planning to have dinner, be warned—the waits are long. A must-visit on the south Sarasota party circuit. 1600 Harbor Drive S., Venice, (941) 488-1456, sharkysonthepier.com

Evie’s at Spanish Point

A big, popular spot recently acquired by the Evie’s Tavern folks. New menu but the same funky ambiance and gorgeous views of the Intracoastal. Terrific sunset watching, frequent live music, and you can come by boat. 135 Bayview Drive, Osprey, (941) 218-6114
