Goodwill Manasota recently received a $75,000 grant from the Ralph S. French Charitable Foundation for its GoodPartner Coach program. This is the seventh year that Goodwill has received funding from the French Foundation for the program, which provides individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment with job training and case management services.

The Friendship Centers, a nonprofit that has served older adults in Southwest Florida for more than 40 years, recently received a $7,500 grant to help the organization replace and modernize the flooring material at its medical clinic. The funds were provided by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s Arthur T. Esslinger Memorial Fund.

Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate's central Sarasota office is helping The Salvation Army by acting as a drop-box location for back-to-school items. Community members are encouraged to drop by the office, located at 8181 S. Tamiami Trail, Suite B, Sarasota, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday to donate backpacks, pencils, notebooks and art supplies.
