Manatee County's Take Stock in Children recently launched a new business entity to provide learning experiences for local youth. Creativity Camps will begin offering a variety of camp programs this summer for youth in grades four to 12. Take Stock in Children is a local nonprofit that provides one-on-one mentoring and college scholarships for qualifying youth who could not otherwise afford post-secondary education. Creativity Camps is solely owned by Take Stock and is designed as a for-profit organization whose revenues will be used to further fund Take Stock's scholarship and mentoring activities. Creativity Camps will launch several week-long camp experiences for elementary, middle and high school students this June and July, focusing on science, the arts and technology.
