Forty-five graduating seniors from Sarasota County Schools have participated in the Take Stock in Children program, in which students and parents/guardians signed agreements to remain crime-free and drug-free, maintain good grades, behavior, and attendance, attend College Success Coaching sessions, and meet with their volunteer mentor on a regular basis.  Students who have successfully completed the program will receive receive a college scholarship. This year, more than $600,000 will be awarded.
