Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is hosting two rare plant conservation conferences next week. An estimated 75 plant professionals are expected to attend the meetings of the Florida Bromeliad Conservation Working Group and the 2017 Florida Rare Plant Task Force. The bromeliad meeting includes representatives from botanical gardens and universities and local and state land managers. The Rare Plant Task Force gathering, meanwhile, is a statewide meeting led by Bok Tower Gardens, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and Selby Gardens. This year’s topic is non-traditional partnerships for rare plant conservation.
