Halloween Spending Expected to Total $9.1 Billion

Americans will spend a record $9.1 billion on Halloween this year, according to survey results published by the National Retail Federation. That number would mark an 8.3 percent increase over last year's $8.4 billion in spending. According to the survey, Americans plan to spend $3.4 billion on costumes, $2.7 billion on candy, $2.7 billion on decorations and $410 million on greeting cards.
