Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) and Doctors Hospital have named to the nation’s list of "100 Top Hospitals" by IBM Watson Health. Both healthcare systems were chosen from 3,134 hospitals across the country for outperforming peer hospitals on all performance benchmarks in IBM Watson Health's study, including inpatient mortality and complications, healthcare-associated infections, readmission rates, length of stay, costs of care and patient satisfaction. This is the fifth time Sarasota Memorial has been named among the 100 Top Hospitals; the study has been conducted annually since 1993.
