Sarasota has a strong tradition of supporting and celebrating our arts and culture. And since the mid-20th century, we have been globally recognized as an epicenter of innovative modern architecture and design.

We invite you to nominate your favorite Sarasota landmarks – from the iconic structures to everyday places – that give our community its unique architectural character and distinct sense of place.

Right now the Sarasota region is experiencing a period of rapid growth and transformation. What we choose to preserve, adapt, and build today will resonate for generations to come.

That’s why Architecture Sarasota asks you, community members or people who care about Sarasota, to help us identify Moderns That Matter.

On March 22, 2024, Architecture Sarasota will announce the results of the Moderns That Matter campaign and unveil the Sarasota 100, a list of one hundred places and spaces that capture the essence of Sarasota – its past, present, and future.
