She is so grateful to be counted among the trailblazers and innovators. 

Three amazing things happened in 2019. Sharon received two major lifetime achievement awards: one for being a leading CEO and the other for philanthropy. She told both organizations that the best is yet to come! She then took a year’s course at Stanford to study innovation. She considers it vital to innovate if one wants to remain independent.   

Being a private, independent company is important. Proudly, they are one of the largest independent wealth management firms owned wholly by a woman in Minnesota and Florida.  Her firm’s wonderful clients are the only focus. She attributes the key to her success - hiring  really smart, hardworking people who truly care.  

Sharon’s Stanford program advisor said she has a larger than normal ability to multi-task and juggle major responsibilities.  She often gets asked “when do you sleep?”. She considers herself a happy maximizer and optimizer. In addition to running her firm, for fun she is an incoming District Governor in Rotary for 24/25, she teaches the top women in global tennis about financial behaviors, she collects the shoes of trailblazing women like Margaret Thatcher and Audrey Hepburn and is a five-time blue ribbon winner at the Minnesota State Fair for flower arranging. She loves Sarasota’s Save Our Seabirds. Her favorite drive is from Tampa to Sarasota being accompanied by the pelicans flying alongside her.
