Breaking Barriers to Human Prosperity

“We’re grateful to our supporters who enable us to help individuals and families in our community find stability and hope.”

Presented by Harvest House September 5, 2023

Harvest House is a leader in the work to democratize affordable housing, addiction recovery, and food security. Since opening its doors in 1992 with just six beds for men in recovery, they’ve become one of the largest human services providers in the region. Harvest House serves individuals through programs uniquely designed for three populations: families and young adults (ages 16-24) experiencing and at risk of homelessness and adults with a history of substance abuse resulting in incarceration and homelessness. Harvest House offers case management, life-enrichment classes, hunger relief through its food pantry, and clean, dignified housing across 10 campuses and 25 affordable rentals, including 380 beds throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Years of unwavering dedication to human services have illuminated a profound truth: Housing alone is just the starting point. A holistic approach encompassing body, mind, and spirit is essential to transforming lives. Supportive and affordable housing programs improve the economic status of residents and stabilize lives for generations to come. Together, we can create lasting change and pave the way to a brighter future for all.
