About Us
For over 42 years, the Child Protection Center (CPC) has been providing life-saving services for children who have been victims of child abuse. Serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties, our extensive programming brings education, intervention services, and trauma-informed care to heal the hearts of child abuse survivors. CPC’s Prevention Program educates children, parents, and professionals in the community, on how to identify and report abuse. Intervention Programs at CPC evaluate alleged child abuse and neglect and perform medical and forensic exams. When a child’s safety is at a heightened risk due to parental substance abuse, domestic violence, or mental illness, the Supervised Visitation Program provides a neutral, safe place for children to maintain a relationship with both caregivers. CPC’s Therapy Programs provide trauma-informed treatment services for children who have experience sexual or physical abuse. When you give to The Child Protection Center, you help equip families with the skills and services that restore their homes, rebuild trust, and remember what normalcy feels like.

- CPC’s Prevention Program is the longest tenured prevention program in the state of Florida, celebrating 30 years of service in the Suncoast.
- CPC is expanding in South Sarasota County! CPC purchased a large property in North Port to meet the needs of increased services.
