Dr. David Napoliello brought the concept of “Hernia Center” to Sarasota over 20 years ago after arriving from the Mayo Clinic. Since 2004, Sarasota Hernia Centers has been a division of his practice, providing for management of standard and complex Hernias. From open surgeries to laparoscopic and robotic repairs, mesh and no-mesh repairs, a well-informed, individualized plan will be formulated for each patient based on their respective surgical needs. 

His training involved being engaged in the laparoscopic and robotic surgical revolution. In the 1990s, Dr. Napoliello was a consultant for the Origin Corporation, a pioneer in laparoscopic hernia repair equipment. While at the Mayo Clinic, completing his specialty Fellowship, he engaged with the forerunners of the current surgical robots now endemic in U.S. healthcare. Dr. Napoliello has made his home in Sarasota County for the past 22 years with his wife and sons and welcomes the opportunity to assist members of his community.
