Sarasota Magazine took home 15 awards at the Florida Magazine Association's annual awards ceremony this weekend, including five first-place Charlie Awards, in categories including writing, design, photography and digital excellence.

"These awards are a reflection of the extraordinary talent and dedication of our team," says Anand Pallegar, CEO of Sarasota Magazine. "At a time when local journalism faces significant challenges across the country, this recognition reinforces something we believe deeply: communities need trusted storytellers. Every article, photograph, illustration and digital experience represents our commitment to helping people better understand the region they call home. We are incredibly proud of our core team, contributors and creative partners who continue to raise the bar."

“We are so honored and gratified by our awards this year," says Susan Burns, Sarasota Magazine's editor in chief. "They reflect the hard work, thought and creativity of our editors, art director, designers and our freelancers who write stories that tell you something important about our community. Our biggest reward, though, is to know that readers care about our stories—that you are picking up our magazine, reading our newsletters, going to our website and following us on social media and telling other people that what you read on our pages—print or digital—had an impact. That's what matters most.”

The leading lifestyle publication in the Sarasota/Manatee region, Sarasota Magazine is a cornerstone of the community, offering insightful, high-quality content that reflects the vibrant culture, stories and businesses of Sarasota. Now in its 47th year, the magazine was acquired by pioneering local B-corp DreamLarge in 2024, positioning the magazine for a new era of growth and innovation with a commitment to driving positive change through the power of storytelling. This year's Florida Magazine Association awards are a reflection of that commitment.
