Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation Raises $200,000 for Roy McBean Boys & Girls Clubs

As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation recently raised $200,000 to benefit programs and services at the Roy McBean Boys & Girls Club in Sarasota. 

Easterseals Southwest Florida raised more than $1 million at its 80th anniversary gala earlier this month.

Hugh and Eliza Culverhouse recently donated $100,000 to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s Season of Sharing program to provide direct financial assistance to residents in need.

The Pines of Sarasota Foundation announced that it has received a $25,000 grant from The Henson Fund to support The Learning Tree, the childcare program located on the Pines of Sarasota campus.

The University of Florida will rename its College of Medicine’s department of radiation oncology after Sarasota residents Alan and Claudia Porter. The building will be known as the Alan H. Porter, M.D., & Claudia B. Porter, R.N., Department of Radiation Oncology

Resilient Retreat's fifth annual Resilient Rhapsody concert in early March raised $135,000 to support the retreat's services for those impacted by trauma.

Inclusion Revolution's recent Bus Pull event raised $22,000 to support the organization's work to create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Parenting Matters has been awarded an $8,000 capacity building grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
