Impact100 SRQ Awards $864,000 in Grants to Eight Local Nonprofits

The New College Foundation recently received a $1 million gift from Dr. Michael C. Markovitz and Ling Z. Markovitz to establish the Markovitz Socratic Stage program.
Impact100 SRQ recently awarded grants of $108,000 ($864,000 in total) to each of the following eight local nonprofits: WSLR + Fogartyville, Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, Selah Freedom, Oyster River Ecology, Academy at Glengary, Inc., Manatee Children's Services, Hand Up to Victory and Loveland Center, Inc.
Habitat for Humanity Sarasota recently received a $175,000 gift from Publix Super Markets Charities, helping aid Habitat for Humanity's mission to expand access to affordable homeownership for Sarasota families facing rising housing costs and limited options.
Bank of America recently announced State College of Florida Foundation, the direct-support organization of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), as its Neighborhood Builder, which means the organization will be awarded a $50,000 grant over two years, receive comprehensive leadership training and gain access to a national network of non-profit peer-partners.
The Women’s Resource Center has been awarded a $35,000 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to help fund mental health and wellness services for women in Manatee County. The center was also awarded a $75,000 capital grant from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation to support preventative maintenance projects.
Manatee County's FoodRecovery.org has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Bishop-Parker Foundation to expand its "Food Recovery Sustainability in Manatee" initiative.
The Pines of Sarasota Foundation has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the James Franklin Warnell & Dorothy J. Warnell Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support the Pines of Sarasota Nursing Education Program.
The Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation has received an $11,500 capacity-building grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County to support one year of its customer relationship management (CRM), patient screening, and volunteer management software.
