The Sarasota Alliance for Historic Preservation has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Newtown Community Redevelopment Agency to support the Resilient Roots: Empowered Preservation of the Newtown National Historic District initiative. The funding will make critical home repairs more accessible to residents of the historic Newtown neighborhood through SAHP's innovative Historic Loan Program.

The Sarasota Ballet was recently awarded of a season-long $75,000 grant from Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation in support of its 2025–2026 season. 

The Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children, which was founded to support local nonprofits that provide services for people with disabilities, recently announced it raised $45,134 during its 13th Annual Fun Shoot.

The Sarasota Opera has been awarded a $41,000 grant from T.T. and W.F. Chao
Foundation to purchase four upright pianos. With the receipt of the grant, the opera has received most of the funding it needed to replace seven pianos, three Boston baby grand pianos and four upright pianos that were in disrepair.
