The Lakewood Ranch-based Brain Health Initiative (BHI) is opening nominations for the 2022-2024 class of young leaders to work with its faculty and scientists. The Brain Health Scholar program includes nominated students from collaborating high schools, youth development programs, colleges, and universities, as well as BHI partners and stakeholders. Nominees should be youth leaders over the age of 15 who have an interest in life science, medicine, community or public health and/or education. The nomination deadline is May 16, and the deadline for applications is May 30. Scholars will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid model with the BHI scientists and clinicians to promote and protect brain health, fight brain illness, and improve brain performance for all ages. Scholars sit in on lectures from Harvard scientists and other experts, learning basic brain health science, then translating that science into action.
