Through the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, philanthropist Jean Weiller recently gifted $1 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties (BGCSDC). The funding is designated to build and furnish the new Art Room and Technology & Robotics Lab at BGCSDC's soon-to-be-renovated Roy McBean Club on the Irving & Marilyn Naiditch Campus; renovation of the Lee Wetherington Club’s Art Room; and the renovation and expansion of BGCSDC's administrative building. The gift is supported by discretionary funding from the Community Foundation.
