Michael Saunders & Company president Drayton Saunders was recently named to the board of directors of the Van Wezel Foundation, the nonprofit that is currently leading a campaign to redevelop Sarasota's bayfront with a new performing arts center. Saunders served on Bayfront 20:20, the organization that worked to shape the master plan for the bayfront. From 2018 through 2020, Saunders was also the co-chair of the foundation’s Sarasota Performing Arts Center Community Steering Committee. He joined Michael Saunders & Company in 2003.
