To mark its 10-year anniversary, the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation is calling on people across the United States to take small, daily actions to reduce water waste and promote the health and sustainability of our nation’s water-based ecosystems. The challenge, presented by the Wyland Foundation from April 1-30, will kick off with a special event at 11 a.m. on April 1 at Tuttle Elementary School in Sarasota.

The 10th anniversary kickoff event will include a live mural painting by Wyland for Tuttle Elementary and remarks by Sarasota Mayor Hagen Brody and representatives from Mote Marine Laboratory. The event will be broadcast on Zoom; those interested can register to attend here.
