Three new members have joined the board of trustees at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota. Robert Browning, M.D., Erin McLeod, and Veronica Thames will each serve on the hospital board for three-year terms. Browning is a general surgeon who specializes in robotic surgery and has performed more than 500 cases. McLeod is the president and CEO of the Senior Friendship Centers. Thames is the senior vice-president for administration and chief operating officer at Gulf Coast Community Foundation. The new board members will join other community leaders and physicians on the board, which advises the hospital leadership team on quality and hospital-wide improvements. The board follows standards set by The Joint Commission, which accredits hospitals.
