Florida's Black and Hispanic-Latino college students will be provided with new job opportunities, thanks to a new partnership between Bank of America and select colleges. The colleges will each receive a $1 million grant to develop or enhance existing programs to meet skills gaps in the job market. The bank will also work with local employers to ensure students meet specific hiring needs.

Bank of America has launched a $25 million nationwide initiative to help minority students around the country, and a $1 billion, four-year commitment to advancing racial equality and economic opportunity.

Colleges receiving funding include Florida A&M University, Florida International University, Miami-Dade College, Florida State College at Jacksonville and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piers Campus in San Juan.
