Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) has chosen Sweet Sparkman Architecture and Interiors to modernize and improve its restrooms with additional “touchless” elements to inhibit the spread of germs.

The restrooms, which already have no-touch faucets, are slated to add features that are attractive and  clean, safe and hygienic. Touchless soap dispensers will be added, paper towel dispensers will be relocated to behind the mirrors at the sink, and trash containers will be moved under sinks. The project builds on existing efforts to protect the health of travelers going through SRQ. According to airport CEO Rick Piccolo, the project will be completed on an expedited timeline so the changes can take effect as quickly as possible.
