Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast Receives Multiple Grants

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast (BBBS) recently received grants from a variety of organizations to support the agency's needs for a total of $35,895.

The Community Foundation of Sarasota County has approved a $10,000 grant to support a one-on-one mentoring program and to meet the agency’s needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

BankUnited has also awarded the organization a 2020 charitable grant in the amount of $5,000 for the purpose of general operating / program support.

Publix Super Markets has donated $20,000 from its charitable arm as a corporate sponsor for its fundraising events throughout several communities BBBS serves. T

Finally, the Venice Golf and Country Club Foundation awarded BBBS supplemental grant of $895 to help address the challenges the organization is facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds will serve to heighten Big Brothers Big Sisters’ online security and boost its technology as the agency continues to serve local youth through remote one-to-one mentoring.
