Mote Marine Aquarium and Laboratory and The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature have both announced reopening dates. Mote will reopen to the public on Friday, June 5, with member preview days on June 3 and 4. The Bishop Museum will reopen on June 3.

Both organizations are implementing extra safety precautions to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Among other procedures, both Mote and the Bishop Museum will introduce ticketing systems that require guests to choose a time window for entrance, limiting the number of people at any given point in the day. Both organizations will also enforce crowd capacity restrictions, have reconfigured entry and exhibition walkways, and have added signage about maintaining social distance, in adherence with CDC guidelines. Both organizations will also require all guests and staff to wear masks.
