Junior League volunteers make beds at the All Star Children's Foundation campus using linens the organization donated.

The Junior League of Sarasota recently donated $5,000 worth of linens to the All Star Children's Foundation; enough for the 42 beds on campus (plus extra sets), and provided 12 sustaining members to make the beds. Part of the Junior League Sustainer’s “Done in a Day” program, the project sends trained Junior League volunteers to support the short-term, one-day needs of nonprofit organizations in the Sarasota-Manatee area. All Star Children's Foundation's campus is dedicated to healing the effects of trauma in abused children; its campus consists of a clinical clinical treatment center; six family foster homes, a community clubhouse and inspirational green space. Working with research experts from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, the project has been partially funded under an agreement with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families.
