For one weekend each winter, Sarasota makes it socially acceptable to wander through other people’s houses and stare—openly, enthusiastically and without pretending you’re in the market.

That weekend is here again. The Junior League of Sarasota’s 49th Simply Sarasota Tour of Homes takes place Jan. 30 and 31, inviting architecture and design lovers to explore six distinctive homes across the city. The annual fundraiser offers an up-close look at how local homeowners and designers are shaping spaces that range from midcentury modern nostalgia to new-construction luxury, all while supporting the league’s community work, including its focus on young adults aging out of foster care.

This year’s lineup spans multiple design sensibilities and neighborhoods, from West of the Trail and near the Field Club to Siesta Key and the Riverview High School area. Expect a mix of modern interiors, coastal contemporary craftsmanship, Scandinavian-inspired restraint, a carefully restored 1957 midcentury modern home and an Old Florida artist’s retreat with deep Sarasota roots. Across the board, the homes showcase livable layouts, thoughtful materials, layered textures and indoor-outdoor flow.

The tour experience goes beyond front doors. Along the way, guests will encounter artists, boutiques, culinary vendors and other pop-up surprises. All tickets also include access to the Toast of the Tour celebration on Saturday afternoon at CMX CinéBistro Siesta Key, featuring live music, hors d’oeuvres, a complimentary drink and a silent auction.

Here’s a closer look at this year’s six home lineup.
