All Events of More Than 250 People at County Facilities Cancelled
The move is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

Sarasota County announced this week that all events over the next 30 days—both county or privately run—with an expected attendance of 250 or more people at county facilities will be cancelled beginning today, Friday, March 13, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. This includes the cancellation of the annual Siesta Key Egg Hunt and Children's Easter Party scheduled on April 11 at Turtle Beach.
