An upcoming workshop is designed to help business owners better understand metrics for the financial performance of their businesses. The workshop, named “Business Number Basics: Am I Making Money?”, takes place 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Keiser University, 6151 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota. The event will be led by Richard Barnard, who has held high-level management positions in the aerospace and defense industries, and is offered through the business mentoring group SCORE Manasota. The class will cover balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, money ratios and more. Registration is $20-$25.
