The Sarasota County Council of Neighborhood Associations is holding its annual fundraiser and celebration at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, at the Michael's on East Wine Cellar, 1283 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota. The event will honor Gerry Swormstedt and will include food, door prizes and more. Tickets are $50. Reserve a spot online. The council represents more than 70 neighborhood, condo, resident and homeowner organizations whose members include more than 35,000 Sarasota citizens. Its mission is to provide practical information to member associations on community concerns and issues and to urge local and state governments to encourage sensible growth.
