The State of Florida launched a new online voter registration system on Sunday. Florida residents who already have a state-issued driver's license or identification card can visit registertovoteflorida.gov to complete and transmit a paperless application from a computer, tablet or smart phone. An applicant is required to provide his or her full name, date of birth, address, Florida driver's license or Florida identification card number and date of issue, the last four digits of his or her Social Security number and preferred political party affiliation. The information will be validated electronically by comparing it to the information provided to the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
