Venice's SKY Family YMCA has secured a new deal to acquire the Charlotte County Family YMCA, which includes child care centers and fitness facilities in North Port, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. The acquisition follows a management agreement that has been in effect between the two organizations since August 2016. Before the acquisition takes place, the Charlotte County YMCA will close its North Port fitness center. Full-time staff there will be offered positions in other locations.
