Bill Mariotti, who earned a bachelor of science degree in general business with a concentration in management and marketing at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in 2015, recently announced that he will donate $3.5 million to the school after he dies. Mariotti, now 56, was enrolled at the university as a young man when his father plunged through a skylight at a demolition site, which prompted Mariotti to delay college while his father recuperated. He re-enrolled at the university after more than 30 years to complete his degree. Mariotti's donation marks the largest individual contribution in the school's history. Mariotti is the president of Bill Mariotti Site Development Co. Inc.
