Next week, North Venice's PGT Innovations is breaking ground on its new PGT Childcare Center, which will begin offering employer-supported care in early 2018. PGT is spending $1.9 million on the facility and offering affordable daycare and preschool programs. The center can accommodate 100 children on flexible schedules and will be run by the SKY Family YMCA. The average cost of care for one child in a Florida household is $7,642 in a home setting and $8,719 in a center setting.
