Real estate law attorney Juan Villaveces from the Sarasota office of the law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP was recently named a new board member at SunCoast Blood Bank, a nonprofit, independent community blood bank that serves hospitals and health centers in need in southwest Florida. Villaveces will serve a three-year term on the board and has already joined the board’s finance committee. Villaveces first donated blood to the organization in 1996 when he was 23. Since then, he’s donated 36 times for a total of 47 units, just one pint shy of the six-gallon mark.
