Sarasota County Area Transit is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new transfer station at The Mall at University Town Center at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30. The new station is SCAT's fifth transfer station, serving routes 15 and 30 Monday through Friday and route 215S on Sunday, routes that service Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and downtown Sarasota. The new facility is equipped with security cameras, lighting, restrooms, seating and shade.
