State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota recently named Mike Kiefer as the dean of academic affairs at the college's Bradenton campus. Kiefer, who joined the college last September, is responsible for the direction and administration of academic programs in Bradenton. The programs include art, design, humanities, language, literature, business, technology, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, natural sciences, music and theater. He also provides college-wide oversight of curriculum, review and development. He came to the college from Darton State College, where he most recently served as the assistant vice president of academic affairs.
