Florida Consumer Sentiment Dips Slightly
Consumer sentiment among Floridians declined slightly in October, according to data released last week by the University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research. The rating dropped by 1.5 points, to 90, between September and October. However, perceptions of one’s personal financial situation now, when compared with one year ago, climbed by 3.5 points. Expectations of personal finances a year from now dropped 3.2 points, while expectations of U.S. economic conditions over the next year decreased by just under a point to 84.4. Expectations of U.S. economic conditions over the next five years, meanwhile, rose 3.1 points, from 88.2 to 91.3.
