The Sarasota Tiger Bay Club will host a debate between Democratic and Republican state House candidates at noon Thursday, Sept. 1, at Michael's on East, 1212 S. East Ave., Sarasota. The forum will include District 72 candidates Edward James, III and either Alex Miller or John Hill, depending on who wins the Aug. 30 Republican primary, as well as District 74 candidates Julio Gonzalez, the Republican incumbent, and either Manny Lopez or Jerry Nicastro. The lunchtime debate is preceded by a registration period that begins at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $23 for Tiger Bay members, $28 for non-members.
