Four Icard Merrill Attorneys Recognized Among Florida's 'Legal Elite'

Four attorneys from the Sarasota law firm Icard Merrill have been named to Florida Trend's 2022 Florida Legal Elite list. This year's honorees—among 1,122 in the state—are Anthony J. Manganiello III, William W. Merrill III, Alyssa M. Nohren and Patrick C. Seidensticker.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat announced the launch of the Cross Arts Collaborative, made possible with support from the Koski Family Foundation. Each year, the Hermitage will award residencies to artists from two selected partner institutions. This year, selected artists are Tsebiyah Mishael Derry and Derric Gobourne, Jr.

Sarasota broker Jordan Chancey has earned the Certified Waterfront Specialist designation from the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. Chancey—of the RE/MAX Alliance Group—has been named a "Realtor to Watch Under 40" by the Realtor Association and its Young Professional Network.

The School District of Manatee County is partnering with the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation to establish the first-ever Guy Harvey Academy of Arts and Science at Anna Maria Elementary School. The K-5 academy will focus on marine science, conservation and the arts—with a special aquarium installed at the school.

District 2 County Commission candidates Fredd Atkins (D), Hagen Brody (D), Mike Cosentino (D) and Mark Smith (R) will answer community members' questions at a Sarasota Tiger Bay Club event at Michael's on East that runs from 12 to 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 7. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for guests. The American Jewish Committee's West Coast Florida chapter will host Lunch & Learn events on Tuesday, July 19, and Tuesday, Aug. 16.
