Sarasota's Satterfield & Pontikes Construction was recently awarded two contracts to construct Walmart stores in Sarasota. The projects include a Walmart Neighborhood Market located on Clark Road and a Walmart Beer, Wine & Spirits store being added to the existing Walmart Supercenter located at the corner of University Parkway and Lockwood Ridge Road. Located on Clark Road in the Palmer Crossings shopping plaza, the 38,750-square-foot Walmart Neighborhood Market project includes a 24-hour facility with a full pharmacy, groceries and a store pickup service. The new store broke ground on June 15. The 4,000-square-foot Walmart Beer, Wine & Spirits store broke ground on June 20 at the corner of University Parkway and Lockwood Ridge.
