New College of Florida recently named Michael Pierce, an attorney with experience in higher education regulations, as its general counsel. Pierce most recently served as an adjunct professor and director of bar preparation services at Stetson University College of Law, where he developed programs to increase student engagement both inside and outside of the classroom. He has experience in federal regulations related to higher education, including FERPA, Title IX and the Clery Act.
