Halfacre Construction Company, which has offices in both Sarasota and Punta Gorda, is enhancing operations at the Punta Gorda Airport by reconstructing two additional parking lots and adding new pay stations. Construction began in May to rebuild the long-term and cell phone parking lots, adding roughly 500 spaces. The long-term and short-term parking exits will also be reconstructed to increase the number of exit lanes from two to four. The projects, which total almost $2 million, are slated to be completed this fall.
