Members of the management team of Sarasota's DM Constructors recently attended a groundbreaking celebration for a new outpatient surgical center in Lake City, Florida, that the company is building. The new $2.5 million, 6,705-square-foot surgical suite site was blessed during the ceremony with a Filipino tradition of saying a prayer and then burying coins under the building pad to assure a successful project and prosperous business. DM Constructors president Chuck Evans, senior project manager Alan Bennett and superintendent Gene Cook all participated in the groundbreaking.
